marquese, best known for his hit >keep movin< on la pena, has released an outstanding record on niveous proving yet again his talent for dancefloor and deepness. let the weekend begin! >weekend you!< is an excellent tool with a massive kick stomping over a landscape of powerful percussions and repetitive sounds. >la musica< (dawn mix) takes a different path. unique moments emerge as piano, choir and atmospheres move to the same groove, sometimes unfolding more obviously, sometimes more subtle.
a temporary sabbatical from gigs was taken and the band wrote material for where were you when it happened in new orleans midtown district, where their rawboned compositions resembled the katrina-pummeled surroundings. with their girlfriends with them in as close to a stableenvironment as they d been in months, they were able to tap a darker, more personal side in songs like as noise, and hunt you down, with its mournful, organ drenched air belying monotonixs typical good time charlie posturing, while fulfilling the albums need for a climactic, balladic moment. where were you when it happened? finds monotonix visiting a greater diversity of places within their sound while still retaining their minimal appeal. mostly though, where were you when it happened works up a sweat with raw rock and roll, acid guitar licks and riffs, screaming choruses and, in general, the wildness of monotonix in a way that makes for repeated album listening (and pummelling). where most bands refine their production sound as they go forward, monotonix have reverse refined themselves, playing dirtier and more energetic to capture the lightning they are known for.

our man from italy hits base again! he was the first house-agent that weÆve send out on a pure digital upon you mission. he mastered it with such bravory that our headquater see it worthwhile to hit session two on vinyl. in phase a1 he successfully recovered a hole row of bad house replicates under the code name ôshadittzö to bring back the good taste. ôback from the middleö is the motto in phase a2, essentially contributing the bust of a few lousy tech-house bosses that where about to sell scuzzy loops to minors. his work was very useful for us and an easy seizing for mr. superbrain tolga fidan who could complete the mission as our remix profiler.
